Tuesday 7.23.13 WOD

1. "Fight Gone Bad"
Three Rounds of 1 minute each
Wall Balls (20, 14)
Box Jumps (20, 24)
SDLHP (75, 55)
Push Press (75, 55)
Row (Calories)
Rest 1 minute

Do each exercise for 1 minute. Keep track of reps for each. Score is total reps at the end of the 3 rounds.

2.  Back Squats 5x5 @ 55% of 1 Rep Max
     Back Squats 5x5 @ 65%
     Back Squats 5x5 @ 75%

    Last night Carrie and Ryan came over and we did the Comp WOD:
    1) 1RM C&J--185#, I jumped to 205 after that and failed, disappointing, oh well.
    2) Squat Clean Elizabeth: 11:02
    I did 115# because my squat cleans suck and I banded the dips. This was Goat City! totally hit muscle failure on both squat cleans and dips well before I ran out of gas.

    And 9 hours later at 5:30am this morning:

    Nice job on the FGB Shelley. I wasn't sure if this was a 3 or 5 round FGB, but I only had time for 3. Looking at your score and the scores posted over on the competitors blog it looked like I guessed right--glad I didn't do 2 extra rounds--brutal! Doing 15 sets of squats after FGB--no bueno :).

    1. It's funny how late afternoon or evening workouts really affect the early a.m. workouts! The squat cleans were awful yesterday and 75 Back Squats after FGB were equally as awful! I thought I was going to get stuck at the bottom of my squat on the last rep of the last five sets. My hips are going to be super tight- glad tomorrow is a rest day! Way to get the workouts in Todd- I'm anxious to see the improvements in the next couple of months! :)

  3. FGB score: 222. It's the same as last year. Disappointed, kids kept getting in the way and I kept forgetting how many I did. I did shoulder press instead of push press so that was a bummer. I used 55#. Is that the women's weight?

    Back squats: 120 then 145. I didn't do the last set because my hip flexors were feeling spent and I didn't want to over do it. I've done that too many times. I've probably dogged it more but oh well.
