Wednesday 3.6.12 WOD

On the Minute for 20 Minutes:
Odd:  Max Reps of Squat Clean Thrusters (135, 95)
Even:  Rest

Checkout:  Tabata V-Ups

THE OPEN IS HERE!!!  TONIGHT AT 6PM THE FIRST WORKOUT WILL BE ANNOUNCED!  WE WILL BE DOING THE OPEN WORKOUTS EVERY FRIDAY FOR THE NEXT 5 WEEKS!!!

  2. A fun WOD today.. got to see and work out with some old pals and had an awesome strength workout!The check out was tough for me today...I was pretty well toasted after the squat clean thrusters :}
    Nice to hear Christine making some noise along with me today..push push push grunt grunt ..ugh!!!

  3. I'm curious if you ever get to that point in crossfit where you workout and you don't feel like you've just put yourself through hell? It's like playing Russian Roulette with your body, what's going to leave you sore and tired today? As Shelly says all the time, "pick your poison". Anyway, today's WOD was challenging I just had to get my mind set on how many reps I could do in the minute and stick with it.
    All us girls should do a team challenge on a Saturday sometime? Losers buy the beer!!!!!!

  4. Received yet another A$$ whoopin' this morning!
    Felt good to push through the entire time though.
    Yesterday, I didn't think my body could get any more
    sore, but that was proven otherwise after today's WOD.

    Thanks Robyn, for exposing my "grunting" and noise-
    making to those who don't get the pleasure of hearing it!
    Just kidding, it's nice to know I'm not the only one who
    makes funny faces and strange noises while working out!

    Kris, an all girls challenge on a Saturday would be fun,
    But at least give me & Esther a chance to recover first!
    You've been doing this longer, so it wouldn't be very
    fair to do it anytime soon! Not to mention we are OLDER
    than you! :)

    1. Thank goodness for the older crowd these days because, believe it or not, I've been the old gal...besides Robyn of course. When Shelly tells me to push myself I remind her that I'm 40 and when you get to that milestone age everything you do is pushing it!!!!!

      Don't worry, you'll be able to use the stairs and get in and out of your car without pain in about a week.

  5. Fun way to start the morning but I was tired and didn't feel like doing all the workout but I did it. Although I did planks instead of V-ups. I know I shouldn't change the workout but it was the checkout and I felt like doing planks this morning.
