Early a.m. 1. "Purple Drank": 14:36rx 2. OTM x 12: odd: 5 squat therapy even: 5 jumping ring dips (3sec hold at top, control down) 3. 100 Abmat Situps: 3:21 My hands are shredded. I think this is the first day they didn't tear more than they were already. Deadlifts were super heavy, first round felt good, then had to break them up 3/3. Which I hate doing because I think that first pull from the ground is the toughest. Double Unders were good- I took a mental mind set of sets of 10 with no more than 5 sec rest between and it worked! Thinking about stringing 40 together is defeating for me! Great job yesterday everyone! Have fun with todays....lol! Todd- I agree with your comments re: the programming. It's made me realize how much "extra" work people are actually putting in and it is definitely a time commitment. Some days the time is there, others not so much :)
"Daniel" Subbed 15 ring muscle ups in place of 50 pull-ups. Each 15 took me about 4 minutes. Good sub I think. Pull-up bar still broken. Thrusters felt good. Broke them up 16 and 5 both times. Should have gone unbroken. Mental breakdown. Time; 21:47. Sub 20 is realistic next time. Nice to see the posts.
I did Friday's WOD like Shelly, came in at 13:14 Rx. The Deads were tougher than normal, my shoulders were still toast after Thursday's WOD--toast in a good way, love when my shoulders feel that way, since they are such a weak spot for me.
I did this workout today, Monday, time was 25 min. I used a single red band on the pull ups. Hand was tearing in the last round of them so I had to break it up more. Thrusters always feel heavy to me. Wow on the muscle ups Andy! Nice work. Good idea with the DU Shelly. I'll have to try that.
