Looking forward to today, will probably drop the weight on the snatches though, really want to get down on those squats--leave the ego at the door! And I love heavy backsquats, feel like I've run a marathon after a good set of heavy backsquats--wobbly legs and out of breath :)!
Did "Amanda" today. 9-7-5 Muscle Ups 135lb Clean and Jerk. subbed for snatches. still very gun shy with shoulder dislocation. as much as i want to start snatching and overhead squatting, it;s not worth the ER bill. time:8:30 really looking forward to the brutality of tomorrows wod!
Good Job Andy, way to be smart about it. Today did not go as well as Ihad hoped. I have not been getting enough to eat, I usually shoot for 2,900-3,200 cals/day and i've been lucky to get 1,800 the last few weeks. No fuel=slow and weak, especially during metcons. My Snatches were wobbly and I had to scale them back a few times until I was at 95#. SO after the Metcon I grabbed a protein drink with 60 grams protein and 30 grams dextrose and hit the squats--the carbs were a big help. got a set of 3 squats at 320# first time trying to break into the 300s. my time on amanda was 6:57 subbed out MUs and dropped weight as mentioned above.
Really not looking forward to tomorrow morning--oh well, just gotta chug through it :).
I am behind in my posts, the computer hasn't been working. I started with the back squats. I did 220 3RM and 240 1RM. I did the snatch complex at 60#. I probably could have done more toward the end, muscles seem to figure out what to do. I ran out of time for Amanda. Oh Darn... Jayna
