Did yesterday's WOD early this morning: 1. 52 Reps - toes to bar stink for me right now, most core stuff does :( 2. used 75# - I love the clean complexes 3. 85, 95, 105 - these felt really good I'm looking forward to todays workout tomorrow! However the deadlifts look pretty heavy....I'll be anxious to see how it goes for everyone! Have fun working out today! :)
You'll get that core back soon, Shelly. 1. So I dogged the last round again. DUs were killing my time. I was at 17 min. after the 3rd round and took 10 more to finish. I did the rx weight and I did them unbroken. Super heavy. Burpees were fine, it was just tripping up on the DUs. I would get going then my shorts would start falling down so I'd be thinking about that and lose my concentration. 2. I did pull ups and dips in place of MUs.
That's awesome Jayna! Way to kill those heavy Deads! I figure the DUs will be the limiting factor for me as well. I can imagine that worrying about losing your shorts while doing DUs in the front yard would be a bit distracting :).
Nice job Jayna....those deadlifts are a little scary! I may be scaling tomorrow :) Reading through some of the comments on the Competitors page it looks like the DU's were killing everyone. I'm sure the combination of the heavy dl's, burpees and du's are brutal. Way to take it on! Are you guys enjoying the programming? I think it's a pretty balanced program. It definitely makes me work on the things that I would normally try to avoid! I love it!!! Have a good weekend :)
yeah things I would normally try to avoid, like tomorrow's WOD :).
I am really liking the programming. Definitely making me work hard and smart--but it eats up a lot more time. Helping me see the rhyme and reason to each days work. Seeing some of those posts, really makes me wish I had started this 12 years ago, though.
Need a place to hang some rings high enough to get after those MUs :).
My wife is an inspiration to me. 4:30am she's out in the garage working out. I Today's wod 6 DL 315 12 burpees 250m run 5 rounds Time 13:47 No jump rope at the firehouse I am at today. Extra round because it felt good Looking forward to tomorrow's wod.
I really like this programing. I was thinking I needed to do more, and I think that's why I would always choose the hero wods, because they were longer. But I like working on doing the shorter workouts faster. I need to get faster. And I like knowing my strength will be worked that day too.
